DSDN 111 - A4 page of precedents and decribing model

I have created a model that has represented my precedents very well and I have some quotes to help me gain inspiration throughout the journey. “You haven’t seen a tree until you’ve seen its shadow from the sky”, by Amelia Earhart. This quote was reflected in my work effectively because of the shadows my model produced when I was in the process of taking my photos. The main focus for my model was to create smooth-edged curves throughout my model to represent my precedent, as well as to create that feeling of fluidity when you look at my model. I wanted my model to give the impression that you were flying through the model. I wanted to achieve this via the fluidity of the curves. The bronze wire holding the model together was a vital part in my model which acts as a focal point as the curves cross over at each intersection. This curving action was inspired by my precedent which was a goose along with this helpful quote by Wesley Ruggles, “A figure with curves always offers a lot of interesting angles.” So I thought about that quote and it inspired me a lot to create a model with a form that looked very free flowing and fluid and contains a lot of unique views of my model.
Through the pictures posted on my blog you can clearly see how certain aspects of my chosen precedents such as the fluidity and shape have been incorporated within my final model.

DSDN 142 - My monster/Rocket

Here is my monster/rocket which I have made. It still needs more editing to it but here's the start.

Code:
float monsterX = 250;
float monsterY = 250;

void setup(){
  size(500,500);
  background(255);

}

void draw(){

  background(255);
  translate(monsterX,monsterY);
  rotate(atan2(monsterY-mouseY, monsterX-mouseX) + PI);
  MYmonster();

 monsterX = monsterX + ((mouseX-monsterX)/50.0);
 monsterY = monsterY + ((mouseY-monsterY)/50.0);

}

void MYmonster(){
  fill(255,255,255);
  noStroke();
stroke(30);

rect(5,5,5,5);
rect(5,35,5,5);
rect(10,10,10,10);
rect(10,25,10,10);
rect(20,15,15,15);
rect(35,15,15,15);
rect(50,15,15,15);

triangle(70,15  ,70,30   ,100,22.5);

ellipse(70,15,10,10);
ellipse(70,30,10,10);

}
So here I have learn't a lot of new skills and functions and still a little confused with them but once I start to play around with them ill understand them a lot better. So here I have created my monster that follows the mouse, and also points at the mouse in a certain direction where ever I move the mouse! This really excites me because this is exactly what I need in my project.

Now my next step is to create an ellipse that reacts as a wave. I'm going to study and find out how to create this wavy motion and maybe my inspiration could help me with this.

DSDN 142 - learning

Here is some more learning stages :

code:
float ellipseX = 250;
float ellipseY = 250;

void setup(){
  size (500,500);

}

void draw(){
  background(255);

  ellipseX = ellipseX + ((mouseX-ellipseX)/50.0);
  ellipseY = ellipseY + ((mouseY-ellipseY)/50.0);
  ellipse(ellipseX,ellipseY,50,50);
  line(ellipseX,ellipseY,mouseX,mouseY);

}
Here I was learning how to create an object that looked like it was pulling another object round where ever the mouse went. I thought this was very handy because I want my final project to be like this. I like how an object can be dragged around.

My idea of project three was to create a massive ellipse in the middle of the screen and when an object passed that ellipse it would make a random wavey pattern as if it was in real life. So like what ever speed the mouse went through the wave would react with the same pace.

DSDN 142 - learning stages

Here are some of my learning stages:

stage one: code:
void setup() {
  size (500, 500);
}

void draw() {
  background(255);

  if (mousePressed ==true) {
    ellipse(mouseX, mouseY, 50, 50);
  }
}
Here i was learning how to click and make an object appear! In this case a ellipse.

DSDN 142 - inspiration

Here are some codes on openprocessing that inspire me in project three:

DSDN 171 - Blog 4

I have created a model that has represented my precedents extremely well and I have some quotes to help me gain inspiration throughout the journey. Also I was inspired by the French Rococo era and how they had whiplash curves in their work.

DSDN 111 - Some cool effects on my photos :)

 So here are some edited photos of my chosen final model. I have finally chosen a model to go on with and now here are some cool edits I have done in photoshop.
I just did these because I thought it was awsome and looked really cool from my perspective.
