DSDN 111 - A4 page of precedents and decribing model

I have created a model that has represented my precedents very well and I have some quotes to help me gain inspiration throughout the journey. “You haven’t seen a tree until you’ve seen its shadow from the sky”, by Amelia Earhart. This quote was reflected in my work effectively because of the shadows my model produced when I was in the process of taking my photos. The main focus for my model was to create smooth-edged curves throughout my model to represent my precedent, as well as to create that feeling of fluidity when you look at my model. I wanted my model to give the impression that you were flying through the model. I wanted to achieve this via the fluidity of the curves. The bronze wire holding the model together was a vital part in my model which acts as a focal point as the curves cross over at each intersection. This curving action was inspired by my precedent which was a goose along with this helpful quote by Wesley Ruggles, “A figure with curves always offers a lot of interesting angles.” So I thought about that quote and it inspired me a lot to create a model with a form that looked very free flowing and fluid and contains a lot of unique views of my model.
Through the pictures posted on my blog you can clearly see how certain aspects of my chosen precedents such as the fluidity and shape have been incorporated within my final model.
