So now I have uploaded all my good photography shots of each of my four models. Now it's time to chose what one I want!
First model:
I like how simple my first model is and it shows good fluidity and simplicity. Also it gives a good shadow when the lighting is correct. But I don't think it is complex enough to get me a high-ish grade, which I'm trying to aim for.
Second model:
My second model is a step up from my first because all the different layers link on the bronze wire and I think that's more effect than having separate parts/or even one part. I like it how it is still very simple but it seems to be lacking something that I couldn't figure out. I does represent my precedents very well though and that's the aim of this project. So this model is a possibility.
Third model:
My third model is a bigger step up from model two because I have added five different layers of material (polyurethane). This gives it more shape and more understanding of its form. I like it because of the fluidity of the curves makes the model look smooth and flowing. While having the bronze wire straight down the middle to hold it all together and almost acts like a focal point. I think that this model could be my final choice.
Fourth model:
My fourth model, I chose to get outside of the box and test my limits with a whole new concept of the bird shape. So I took my first model, just a simple bird shape and the twig which is the focal point and made that bird shape, over and over, all squished up next to each other. This gave a good wavy effect to my model and looks a bit complex but it's really simple. One down side of this object is that when I tried to get a shadow from the model, it didn't turn out that well, it just turn out as a bunch of 'Y' looking shadows. Which wasn't very interesting for me.
So now I have a very big decision to make!! What model will I choose!
